I'm Pet BB is a unique social media platform exclusively designed for pets. Unlike conventional social networks, this platform shifts the spotlight to pets, fostering connections among pet owners and enabling meaningful interactions.
Taking inspiration from the world of human social media, "I'm Pet BB" empowers pet owners to share relevant information, exchange experiences, and chronicle their pets' daily adventures. The platform's motto underscores its dedication to creating an immersive environment where pets take center stage.

STRAYING FROM THE INTENDED IDENTITY: LACK OF ORGANIC PATTERNS
"I'm Pet BB" intended to incorporate "organic" patterns as a fundamental aspect of its brand identity. However, there are no discernible organic patterns evident throughout the app or pet store. This absence poses a significant challenge as it hinders the platform's ability to effectively convey its unique style and distinguish itself in the market.
OVERWHELMING CHARACTER VARIETY: INCONSISTENCY
The multitude of pet characters introduced within the app has led to inconsistency, making it challenging for users to identify the characters that represent "I'm Pet BB." This lack of clarity not only hampers brand recognition but also makes it difficult for users to form a strong association with a particular character or mascot.
Following the problem diagnosis, my focus shifted towards rebranding the image of I'm Pet BB and making it stand out distinctly from competitors in the pet social media industry.
COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS
To gain a well-rounded perspective, I compared our platform with three pet-focused brands and three brands emphasizing organic shapes. This analysis unveiled commonalities among these platforms, and were able to identify commonalities between the sites which suggested features we found important, as well as their value proposition.suggesting features that we should incorporate into our product and elements we should avoid.
CONSISTENT AND MEMORABLE IDENTITY
To differentiate I'm Pet BB from competitors and create a lasting impression, it is crucial to establish a visually appealing and consistent brand identity. This entails defining a primary theme, such as simplicity, vibrancy, or eco-friendliness, and consistently implementing it across the platform.
STREAMLINE CHARACTERS
Enhancing brand recognition and fostering a cohesive user experience necessitates a strategic approach to introducing pet characters. Focusing on a limited set of 2-3 main characters promotes clarity and consistency, enabling users to easily identify and connect with these characters representing the app.
INCORPORATE CORE ELEMENT
Leveraging organic patterns as an integral part of I'm Pet BB's brand identity can infuse depth and uniqueness into the platform's overall aesthetic. By consistently integrating these patterns across various design elements, the platform can effectively showcase its fun and cute style, reinforcing its brand identity and engaging users visually.

As a pivotal step in crafting a distinctive brand identity for I’m Pet BB, I embarked on the creation of a set of organic patterns for our branding. These patterns, characterized by playful shapes, vibrant colors, and unique organic borders, encapsulate the primary objective of our rebranding project.

By incorporating these new patterns, the transformation within our products is immediately evident. We've achieved a more uniform and consistent brand identity, enhancing the overall appeal and recognition of our offerings.
CHARACTER DESIGN & APPLICATION
While the multitude of playful characters was initially charming, it became apparent that maintaining a clear brand identity with an abundance of characters was challenging. I directed my focus towards retaining the essence of cuteness and organic shapes while accentuating the human-like characteristics of the animals, as this aligns with the essence of our pet social media platform.The creation of distinct main characters and their seamless integration into the app and social media pages became a highly plausible and impactful endeavor, further solidifying our brand identity.
PASSION X PURPOSE: Why did I choose I'm Pet BB?
Throughout my career, one principle has remained unwavering: dedicating my time and skills to projects that resonate with my passions. As a designer, I carry a profound sense of responsibility to produce work that I can genuinely take pride in and that serves a purpose, irrespective of the project's scale. My decision to collaborate with I’m Pet BB was deeply rooted in my passion for representing our beloved pets. Having a beautiful Maltese dog named Wolke, working on this project was a delightful experience as I endeavored to envision how my furry friend would engage with this social media network. It allowed me to explore how I could best represent him on this platform, infusing a personal touch into the design process.
This experience marked my first venture into the Korean design landscape, and it came with the unique challenge of being one of the few designers in a startup company. The responsibility of spearheading a complete rebranding of the existing platform was immense, but it was also an incredibly meaningful journey that allowed me to explore a wide range of design skills, including UI, product design, and graphic design.
